Life saving act by Cambridge United Foundation staff earns award
A walking football tournament was taking place on the bank holiday weekend in May at the Abbey stadium when one of the players had a cardiac arrest and due to the fast acting work of four members staff the player recovered. Staff carried out CPR and had to use a defibrillator to get the players heart beating again they worked on the individual until emergency service help arrived . Cambridge Charity Fund Raisers presented the four members of staff with an engraved salver and Marks & Spencer vouchers to celebrate the outstanding life saving work they carried out.
